Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the transfer process.

What is Escrow.com?

Escrow.com is the world's most secure third-party payment platform for domain transactions. It protects both the buyer and the seller by securely holding the funds and only disbursing them once both parties confirm the terms of the sale have been met.

How do I initiate the domain transfer?

The process is simple and secure. When you are ready to acquire a premium asset, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Buy / Offer button on the domain you wish to obtain, which will direct you to a page on Escrow.com.
  2. Enter the domain name in the field "Enter your domain name". This will launch a form to set up a transfer or negotiation. To expedite the process, you can submit an initial offer; we review these immediately and will either accept or provide a fair counter-offer. Set the inspection period strictly to 1 day. Alternatively, you can use the contact button to email us directly with any questions or bids (please make sure to mention the specific domain name in your message).
  3. Click "Start".
  4. Once funds are secured, we transfer the domain to your registrar. After you confirm receipt, Escrow.com releases the funds.

What is the "Age Premium" and why does domain age matter?

A newly registered domain inherently carries risk. Brand-new domains must endure the search engine "sandbox" phase—a probationary period where algorithms suppress new sites to prevent spam, severely limiting initial visibility. Furthermore, finding an available, truly brandable .com is becoming harder every day; in today's market, almost any great idea you come up with is likely already taken.

Because the majority of our domains are 10+ years old (registered around 2015), they are officially considered Heritage or Aged assets. That decade of clean internet history acts as a massive trust signal to search engines, allowing you to bypass the sandbox and start building immediate brand equity.

We have the registration date listed with every domain. Simply click on a domain name for more info (you can verify the date in ICANN's WHOIS database).

Are there any hidden transaction fees?

Absolutely not. We do not charge any broker fees or markups. The only additional cost is the standard Escrow.com service fee, which is paid by the buyer. You can calculate the exact amount in advance on the official Escrow.com Fee Calculator page .

Do you charge VAT or issue tax invoices?

No. DNDiscounter operates as a private portfolio holder, not a registered commercial entity, so no VAT or GST is added to your purchase price. While we do not issue commercial tax invoices, the complete transaction record and financial summary provided by Escrow.com serves as official proof of purchase for your accounting department.

How long is the inspection period?

Due to the digital nature of domain names, the Escrow.com inspection period is strictly limited to 24 hours after the domain reaches your registrar account. This timeframe protects the asset's integrity by preventing the domain from being used for spam or fraud prior to an attempted transaction reversal.

Who is responsible for legal and trademark checks?

It is solely the buyer's responsibility. While we make every reasonable effort to ensure our inventory is clean and in good standing prior to listing, you must conduct your own final due diligence—including trademark searches and history checks—before purchasing. Once the transfer is complete, the buyer assumes absolute legal responsibility for the domain.

Are the prices negotiable?

Our prices are set at a highly competitive fair market value to encourage quick sales, but we are open to reasonable offers. Feel free to contact us or use the "Make Offer" button to start the conversation immediately.
